Active region AR3697 in H-alpha: a group of sunspots, bright plage and swirling fibrils, with a long, curving dark filament sweeping across the lower part of the frame. Watching the sequence play shows how restless the chromosphere is, even over a few minutes.
Frames were captured as video, each stacked in AutoStakkert!3 and sharpened in ImPPG, then aligned and assembled into the time-lapse.
