A prominence rises over the limb in colored H-alpha, with the finely mottled chromosphere filling the lower part of the frame. In motion, the prominence’s structure changes slowly but visibly.
Frames were captured as video, each stacked in AutoStakkert!3 and sharpened in ImPPG, then aligned and assembled into the time-lapse.
